Public Lands Defense Workshop - Reno

  • Cathexes, LLC 250 Bell Street Reno, NV, 89503 United States (map)

In March, the Center for Biological Diversity released a report entitled "Public Lands Enemies" (PublicLandsEnemies.org) which examines anti-public lands bills in the last three congresses in order to identify the lawmakers that are driving the land seizure movement at the federal level and the types of bills the are putting forth to do it.

Amodei and Heller landed at numbers 11 and 15 on the list of Public Lands Enemies respectively.

Our goal now is to make sure that the Public Lands Enemies are hearing from their constituents every time they launch an attack on public lands. Public opinion has always supported our public lands and their protection and our representatives need to start acting like it rather than continuing to exploit our lands for the profit of their corporate friends.

We want to teach people about the public lands seizure movement and their representatives' role in it and conduct hands-on trainings to give them the tools to fight back.

Partnering with the Action Together Nevada, the workshop will run for about an hour and a half at 6 in the evening at Cathexes. Food and drinks will be provided.

If you plan to attend, please register via our RSVP page so we can keep track of who all is coming. That can be found here: http://action.biologicaldiversity.org/p/salsa/event/common/public/?event_KEY=83109
