The Red Cross is closing the Wooster Emergency shelter at 5:30pm today, and busing people to overflow shelters, yet for those who won't go due to previous trust situations people must be allowed to stay in the paved parks.
Please call (775) 353-2428 and tell Sparks PD to let people sleep in paved parks.
"Hello, my name is ___ and I'm a Washoe County resident. The shelters are closing and there are reports that no safe zones have been created for our houseless citizens. I'm calling to urge the Sparks Police Department to allow a 72 hour safe zone for paved parks within Sparks and allow peaceful citizens an area to be safe."
Be respectful to the operators; they have been through a lot the past 24 hours.
