2017 Point in Time Homeless Youth Count

Support Our Homeless Youth in Washoe County.

This effort is an attempt to get an accurate count of homeless youth under the age of 24. 

In 2016, the Youth Point In Time Count in Reno, NV reported 99 Youth. That’s an 80% increase based on the number of Young Adults surveyed at the 2016 PIT Count since 2012 PIT Count!

If you know any youth who sleep in the following locations last night, please send them to the event:
A House or Apartment with Other Young People
On the Street/Outdoors/Park or River
On a Roof/in a Garage/Attic/Basement/Storage Structure
A Place in a House not a Bedroom (Kitchen, Couch, Bathroom)
In a Friend's or Family Member's House on a Temporary Basis
Sharing a Living Space with Another Family
Abandoned Building


We are collecting incentives -- Sleeping Bags, Tents, Salon Services, Warm Coats, Back Packs, New Socks, New Underwear, Gloves, Beanies, Art Supplies, Food, Drinks and Laundry Mat Vochers. We use these incentives to give to the young people that took the surveys.
